Annie Holmes Tutoring

Professional online tuition for ages 7 - 18

Maths – English – Science – LANGUAGES

We provide expert one-to-one and small group tuition from qualified, UK-trained teachers, delivered through our bespoke online platform. Whether your child needs to build confidence, fill gaps, or prepare for key exams, we offer focused academic support that gets results. We combine rigorous professionalism with genuine care to foster confidence, growth, and long-term success.

What makes us different is how we work. We combine academic tuition with pastoral care - supporting not just what your child learns, but how they feel while learning. Our whole-child approach helps them recognise and reach their full potential, while making school a more positive, manageable experience for both them and you.

Founded in 2017 by education specialist Annie Holmes, our approach is backed by over 30 years of experience and a belief that children succeed best when they feel confident, supported, and understood.

Support at Every Level

From Year 3 to Year 13, we support your child’s full school journey, with exams as a crucial part of that path.

While milestones like SATs, 11+, GCSEs and A-levels are important, we know true progress is built long before test day. That’s why we offer expert guidance throughout school, helping students feel confident, capable and calm every step of the way.

Choose from personalised 1:1 tutoring, small group sessions (with a maximum of 8 students), or a combination of both to support more than one subject - depending on what suits your child best.

All sessions take place via our secure, purpose-built online platform, designed to make learning seamless and effective. With interactive whiteboards, recorded lessons, shared notes, parent updates, safe messaging and integrated homework tools, your child’s progress is always clear and easy to follow.

A Whole-Child Approach

We are redefining what tutoring looks like. This is educational support with much more. Academic results matter, and how your child feels on the journey does too.

It’s about nurturing confident, resilient learners who feel calm, motivated, and supported. When a child feels good, they learn better - and life at home becomes smoother too.

As we support your child through school, we’re here to guide them to recognise and achieve their potential with clarity, structure, and confidence. Challenges are avoided, your child thrives calmly, and you enjoy peace of mind knowing they're happy at school.

We are with you and your child as they learn, grow and glow.

The G.L.O.W. Method

We combine the latest educational technology, evidence-based strategies, and deep curriculum knowledge to ensure each student receives tailored, high-impact support in core subjects.

What sets us apart is our whole-child approach. Our exclusive, trademarked G.L.O.W. method weaves together academic mastery, wellbeing nurturing, and strategic study skills, because true success comes from thriving, not just surviving. Our G.L.O.W. method is grounded in educational psychology, evidence-based practice, and a deep understanding of child development.

School’s Nearly Out… But Now’s the Time to Act

As the school year draws to a close, many parents will be receiving end-of-year reports and exam results. Some of these will bring reassurance: a sense of progress, effort recognised, and a summer ahead without too much academic worry. But for others, this time of year can stir up concern. Perhaps your child hasn’t performed…

Meet Annie: The Heart Behind the Tutoring

Why I Do This It’s deeply rewarding being part of a child’s world, helping them grow in confidence, curiosity, and belief in themselves. It’s about seeing a child thrive because someone took the time to truly understand them. Everyone remembers their favourite teacher. Not just because they explained things well, but because they made us…

Helping You Help Them

You want your child to thrive, and although you’re doing everything you can (supporting them at home, encouraging good habits, and staying involved), it can sometimes feel like they’re just managing to get by. Perhaps they’re overwhelmed by their workload, lacking confidence, or facing challenges that aren’t always obvious; or maybe you’re unsure if they’re…
